I guess I just felt like running

In June of 2024, we briefly opened Color & Convo as a brick-and-mortar business.

I thought being involved with other businesses, in particular with the co-work and creation center we were renting from, we would stand the best chance of exposure.

As I began meeting people, learning about their business, and trying to define mine I got lost in the momentum of other's enthusiasum for their dreams, and began trying to follow their mostly unsolicited advice on what to do with Color & Convo.

I was running without a destination.

I was running without a reason.

I was running for something I didn't even want.

I guess I just felt like running.

It isn't like I didn't learn lessons about people, business, friendship, money - but most of all, I learned about me and what I want, what I have to give, what I need, and how to move forward with Color & Convo.

I'm not a fan of vending events as Color & Convo. I wanted to show up as me, tell people about color wellness, allow them a trial of color wellness glasses, give them a way to contact me if they were interested, and move along to the next person. Well, not as cold and uncaring as that sounds, hopefully you get my meaning.

Then the unsolicated advice began, 'you should add pricing', 'you need a qr code to make direct payments', ' your should have a table cover', 'you should offer card readings for something to do', 'you should get a giant banner', 'you should - fill in the blank' on and on it went.

Until I finally stepped back.

I stepped away.

I stopped going to vending events.

Initially, because we hadn't planned in advance well enough to be involved, and then, I made the choice not be involved in vending events.

I shouldn't say 'no vending', it is more like strategic vending now.

Color & Convo is a unique offering that doesn't need to be everywhere.

A woman's event here, a wellness event there, if I feel called or if someone calls and invites me.

Otherwise, Color & Convo offers:

Conscious Clouds, cloud gazing with color wellness glasses, and can include affirmations, meditations, journaling with prompts, movement, mudra, sound bath, and more. We design as we go and find a need or have a request.

Through Color Into the Flame, candle gazing has all the same options as Conscious Clouds.

The Color of Sound meditation journey with Sounds of HOME.

Steeped in Color: A Chakra Journey with WildCRAFT Ltd. every Tuesday

Surfing the Color at Elev8 Glass Gallery

HOME Through the Senses: An In-depth Chakra Journey

Session: Private or Public.

The public sessions could be held at a library, coffee shop, cafe, in nice weather, the park, the Riverwalk, before a golf, baseball, a race, or another competition where focus and clarity of thought are needed.

1-on-1 sessions and group.

In addition to wearing color wellness glasses, a session can include talking with your sessions compaion/guide.

Companion is there to bring the glasses, they would prefer not to talk, they may offer other things like playing a game, reading oracle cards, yoga, sound bath, etc.

A guide is someone willing to listen and talk. Offer perspective. Offer thoughts. Offer ideas.

This is enough for me.

I'm tired of running.

If it is meant for me, it will come to me.
