Throat Chakra (Vishuddha): Communication & Self-Expression

Located at the throat, Vishuddha governs how we express our truth, feelings, and inner voice. When balanced, it allows for clear, honest, and compassionate communication.

Signs of an Overactive Throat Chakra

An imbalance in this chakra may appear as:

 Excessive Talking

 Talking Without Purpose or Awareness

 Gossiping or Speaking Without Mindfulness

This often reflects a deeper need to be heard—but without healthy filters, it may lead to miscommunication, disconnection, or harm.

 Why It Happens

The throat chakra is our energetic “voice box.” When overstimulated:

Words may pour out without pause

Thoughts may feel urgent—even if not helpful or kind

We may speak about others more than with them

Though other chakras support communication:

Heart Chakra (love & compassion, center of chest)

Sacral Chakra (emotion & connection, lower abdomen)

…it is  Throat Chakra that is the core of verbal expression—both in truth and in distortion.
